What do you do with your personal belongings when they break or become damaged? There are some things we might attempt to fix, such as torn clothing, but most of us probably wouldn’t attempt repairs on electrical goods.

This article in a national newspaper highlights a Repair Cafe in Reading. It’s part of a national network of projects run by volunteers who aim to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by fixing broken goods. From radios to electric razors, clothes to kettles, the team work their magic and give household items a new lease of life.
